Once a year, tens of thousands of people gather in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert to create Black Rock City, a temporary metropolis dedicated to community, art, self-expression, and self-reliance.

Burning Man 2022

Burning Man is back as part of Black Rock City from August 28 to September 5, 2022 in the Nevada desert. The theme this year, according to organizers, “Will explore the transformative power of dreams, both literal and figurative, and celebrate the dreamers who channel this potent energy in eye-opening, often surrealistic, sometimes life-changing ways. Because after all what is Black Rock City if not a collective manifestation of the community’s dreams?”

Whether you plan to go in person, or celebrate your own burning man type festival locally or virtually, Bohemia Gallery has everything you need to flex your creative self-expression and stay warm while knowing that dreams really can come true.

Burning Man is set to descend upon the Black Rock Desert in Nevada later this summer from August 27th to September 4th, 2017. And, as it boldly states on the Web site, “Burning Man isn’t your usual festival.”

There are 10 principles that have been written as guidelines for the festival but the one that stands out for our purposes is “Radical Self-expression.”

Radical self-expression arises from the unique gifts of the individual. No one other than the individual or a collaborating group can determine its content. It is offered as a gift to others. In this spirit, the giver should respect the rights and liberties of the recipient.
